What Personal data we collect and why we collect it
1. COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://jiffey.co.uk/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
2. BROWSING OUR SITE
You may browse our website without any data being collected from you, however in order to enjoy a tailored browsing and shopping experience, we offer you the ability to register an account with us.
3. REGISTERING AND ORDERING
You need to have an account in order to purchase goods from Jiffey. When you add items to your cart, a file is created on our server, which stores details of your purchases. This file is linked uniquely to your browsing session and cannot be viewed by anyone else.
When you complete your order, we ask for you to open an account where your personal information about you, such as your full name, address, e-mail addresses, and phone number. This data will only be shared with our payment service provider and courier services, and only for the purposes of processing and shipping your order.
All sensitive data is transmitted via an industry standard 128-bit secure socket layer connection, and payments are processed through Sage Pay’s secure servers.
When you register for an account with Jiffey, we require that you give us a valid e-mail address. This is so that an account can be opened on our system and allows you access all the facilities of Jiffey.
You can use your member account to store your personal data, for the purposes of making orders with Jiffey. You can also use your account to sign up for email updates.
The ‘remember me’ feature is an automatic login process, which creates a cookie on the hard drive of your computer containing a unique login ID, thereby avoiding the need to enter your login details upon subsequent visits to Jiffey. Do not select this option if you share this computer with others since personal or member only information will be accessible by other users.
Any members of Jiffey may de-register or correct any inaccuracy at any time by quoting their unique membership Identification or by going online.
Jiffey is constantly looking into ways on improving our service to our customers and therefore we collect data, such as how many times a product is purchased or viewed, in order to continually modify our website to suit the browsing trends of our users.
We also record information such as customers’ purchases, amounts and types of products purchased and other information relevant to such purchases.
Visitors to the site who give us their telephone numbers online will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed online
All members of Jiffey will receive information by the method elected on membership registration form and will be automatically be included in any promotions, competitions and receive our special seasonal gifts, unless elected not to be. In addition, members will also be able to register their specific requests for reminder to be sent to them, by email. We do not automatically collect personal data about you, unless you open an account. We do not share any personal data with any 3rd part organization or institution, except for the purposes of processing your order as detailed above, or if required to do so by law.
4. DISCLOSURE
We would only disclose your information if required by law, court order or in circumstances where it is judged to be in good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise advisable.
Jiffey comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act and as such we do not disclose details of our customers to any third party.
5. SECURITY
Jiffey is protected by the very best in secure server technology. All payments and handling of payments is though Pay Pal secure server. Any details held by us on servers, and are protected by an impenetrable firewall set up that allows for no unauthorised access.

6. CONTACT FORMS
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

8. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
